Watch Night 3 of the Democratic National Convention Live
The Democratic National Convention continues apace in Philadelphia this evening. On Tuesday, an emotional Larry Sanders eulogized his younger brother Bernie’s campaign. Bernie called for Hillary Clinton to be nominated by acclamation, even as some of his angry delegates marched out of the Wells Fargo Center in protest. “Mothers of the Movement” advocated criminal justice reform. Bill Clinton paid homage to his wife, humanizing her as a tough-as-nails, forward-thinking “change-maker.” And Clinton became the first female major-party presidential nominee in U.S. history.
Will pro-Clinton Democrats manage to fold disaffected Sanders supporters under the tent tonight? Stay on top of Night 3 with our live stream of CBS News’ convention coverage, and don’t miss Slate’s live-blog of the evening’s events. Night 3 features appearances by civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson, short-lived Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley, recent Clinton-backer Michael Bloomberg, and energetic Clinton surrogate President Barack Obama.
