Take me to “Negrotown”!

The fifth season of Key & Peele won’t arrive until July, but thankfully, the comedic duo known for their sharp takes on race have brought us some especially timely humor in the form of the sketch “Negrotown.” Taking a cue from black-cast Hollywood musicals of the 1940s, they bring us a pristine, glorious world where “you can wear your hoodie and not get shot,” among many other small but not insignificant benefits.

The insane attention to detail in the choreography and lyrics makes this a particularly strong Key & Peele sketch, and good luck getting the bouncy “Negrotown” tune out of your head. (Not that you’ll ever want to say goodbye to it, if “your skin is brown,” that is.)
