Between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., Jack Bauer found a new friend—a technical idiot savant who can access a network with the speed and efficiency of Chloe, blinks just like Jack's been doing since he got off the plane from China, and doesn't like red stuff in his scrambled eggs. Vice President Daniels really, really wanted to go nuclear, but Karen Hayes kept finding ways to thwart his policy agenda. Oh, and President Palmer almost flatlined.
As part of Slate's Spoiler Special podcast series, we've been hosting regular "post-view" discussions of Season 6 of 24. (Click here to listen to a discussion of the first four hours, here for a discussion of Hour 5, here for Hour 6, here for Hour 7, here for Hours 8 and 9, here for Hour 10, here for Hour 11, here for Hour 12, here for Hour 13, and here for Hour 14.) In this podcast, Slate's publisher, Cliff Sloan, gives a master class on the 25th Amendment. Also, June Thomas and Julia Turner wonder if the Brady Hauser plotline sounded less cheesy in the writers' room, consider if that moment between Milo and Nadia constitutes sexual harassment in the workplace, and ponder a mole-free CTU.
Because we reveal plot twists in these chats, we recommend—but don't insist—that you watch the show before listening to the program.
