This week's episode covered the events of 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. During this hour we learned that Phillip Bauer takes a pretty dim view of public service, saw that Morris O'Brian believes Altoids can cover the smell of single-malt scotch, and were shocked to discover that in the Wayne Palmer era, Secret Service agents define "urgent" as "in about 15 minutes."
As part of Slate's Spoiler Special podcast series—recently expanded to include TV shows—we'll be hosting regular "post-view" discussions of Season 6. (Click here to listen to a discussion of the first four hours, here for a discussion of Hour 5, here for Hour 6, here for Hour 7, and here for Hours 8 and 9.) In this podcast, Slate's June Thomas and Julia Turner wonder if Tom Lennox is going to be seen or heard from in the next 14 hours, ask if we underestimated Milo Pressman in previous weeks, and discuss whether Marilyn Bauer is the most annoying character on prime-time television.
Because we reveal plot twists in these chats, we recommend—but don't insist—that you watch the show before listening to the program.
