Veep Sweeps Week is upon us! With the Republican national convention set to kick off next week and the Democratic one the week after, politicos, pundits, and the press are breathlessly chattering about who Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will or won’t select as their respective running mates.

It’s a mistake to read too much—or, in some cases, anything at all—into the speculation since almost every morsel of information that is reported is doled out by the campaigns or the potential picks themselves as either trial balloons, self-promotion, or subterfuge. But that doesn't mean that the ultimate decisions don't matter. One of these men or women, after all, will be the next vice president of the United States of America, and one of them very well could be the next Sarah Palin.

With that in mind, below you’ll find a running compilation of all of Wednesday's chatter, speculation, and rumor surrounding the pick. Trump is most likely to unveil his selection by the end of this week, while Clinton is expected to do the same by the end of next. Between now and then, though, enjoy the wild conjecture and frantic speculation.
