While most people enjoyed sleeping in and getting ready for barbecues, Nicki Minaj celebrated the long weekend by cruelly teasing her Twitter followers:
Hmmmm... *thinks* --- should I? 😁🎀

After building anticipation (and retweeting people wondering what she was up to), she posted a brand new track, “The Pinkprint Freestyle,” which features a shoutout to the unluckiest gorilla in zoo history, as Minaj boasts, “I’m draggin’ these hoes like Harambe did the kid.” As Stereogum noted, the track, which is definitely not safe for work, is built on the beat from Young M.A.’s “OOOUUU,” until the finale, in which Minaj quotes from M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes.”
After releasing her new song and answering questions about it on Twitter, Minaj took the time to correct Rap Genius for getting her lyrics wrong:
Genius is wrong again & im only 5 lines in😩. I said yung ma, ITS the female Jay. Introducing myself to her.
