New Yorkers were met with an unusual sight this morning: space shuttle Enterprise flying over the city, on its way to Kennedy International Airport. Although the journey of the shuttle prototype atop a 747 jet had been planned far in advance, it still took many people by surprise, causing startled shouts of, “What is that!” in offices and streets across the city. We took a look through Instagram and these were some of the best—and most surreal—photos that people agreed to share with us.
