Fred Thompson's First Campaign Ad?At least, this is how we imagine it.

Actor and former U.S. senator Fred Thompson is said to be seriously considering a run for the GOP presidential nomination (a scenario die-hard Law & Order fans might not welcome, as it could force many episodes of the show off the air). A recent poll showing Thompson in third place among GOP presidential hopefuls has ramped up speculation about whether Thompson will jump in.
If he does, he'll need some campaign ads. We at Slate have done him the favor of producing the first one for him. You can get a sneak peek in the player below:
