This Is What Hurricane Sandy Looks Like From Space

If you turn on the TV at any point today—you know, before you lose power—you're likely to see plenty of satellite animations of Hurricane Sandy's march northward toward New York City. Here's one such time-lapse animation taken from a NOAA satellite showing the storm's progress from Friday through Sunday night:
