Even the outfits are peak 90s.

Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney, the SNL duo that brought us Chris Pratt as a leather-vested rebellious teen and Andrew Garfield as a sexual assault victim, star with Ryan Gosling in one of the weirdest, best unaired Saturday Night Live sketches of all time. Mooney plays Dougie, an irritating nerd who uses a science experiment to become the incredibly cool, impeccably dressed (in silk pants and a white blazer, of course) Doug-ay.

If you grew up watching shows like Family Matters, Full House, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the exaggerated laugh tracks and “ooohs” combined with Mooney, Bennett, and Gosling’s straight-faced monotone one-liners will feel eerily familiar. The best part might be the random cuts to unrelated exteriors—a favorite Bennett and Mooney joke when it comes to spoofing '90s sitcoms—including, in this case, a spooky castle and a horse and buggy.
