Here’s True Detective Season 2 as a Rom-Com, Because the True Detective Was Love

Still taken from the video.

True Detective’s second season had its ups and downs (mostly downs) but it’s nothing a little re-editing and some upbeat pop music can’t fix. This video from WorldWideInterweb gives the lurid crime story a little twist, turning it into a promising rom-com. We open on Rachel McAdams’ Ani Bezzerides to the tune of Hall & Oates, and things only get cuter from there as the charming romance between Bezzerides and Ray Velcoro (Colin Farrell) unfolds. The world may be “a giant gutter in outer space,” but some of us are looking at the stars.
