Billy Eichner Did a Special Billy on the Street to Make Everyone Honor David Letterman

This week a number of New Yorkers were stopped in their tracks by two rampaging comedians. For a special episode of Billy on the Street, an especially chipper David Letterman joined Billy Eichner to ask passersby that most important question: What should David Letterman’s next move be after The Late Show?

It’s no surprise that the question meets with lots of happy and perplexed faces—and of course, that nobody gets the dollar. But it also gives both comedians a moment to shine (and to scream at people). Although Billy worries that Dave will end up "playing shuffleboard with Dan Rather," Letterman seems pretty sanguine about his next move—and about his Late Show sidekick, too. When Billy asks him what Paul Shaffer’s going to do now, he doesn’t miss a beat: “He has connections in Canada.”
