You Can Now Hear Fugazi’s Very First Demo in Full

When Fugazi first stepped into a recording studio in 1988, they had only played 10 shows together. But they already sounded pretty great, as demonstrated by the soon-to-be-released First Demo. Diehards may have heard much of it before: The band put 10 of the 11 songs they recorded on a cassette that they gave away at shows, and several of the songs appeared in slightly different form on subsequent recordings. But they only ever formally released one of the tracks (“In Defense of Humans”), and the song “Turn Off Your Guns” was never released at all.

You can stream the whole thing below. It comes out Nov. 18.
