Jessie Ware’s sophomore album, Tough Love, is one of our most anticipated releases for this fall. With not quite two months to go until its release, we’ve heard three exceptional tracks from the project, including title track “Tough Love” and “Say You Love Me” (both of which landed on our monthly Slate Plus playlist). And today she shared a groovy little number, “Want Your Feeling.”

The song, co-written by Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, echoes his retro, disco-infused sound (though he didn’t produce the track), with its cool synths and bouncy bass line, over which Ware sings of the regret she feels about remaining guarded with a lover (“I never showed you the real me/ I hid it from myself”). While the studio recording is terrific, you can more fully appreciate the song’s subtle beauty by hearing Ware sing it live, as in the video below, filmed at London’s Barbican Centre.
