Showtime

Showtime has made the first episode of its new drama, Penny Dreadful, available online. Set in Victorian London and starring Eva Green and Josh Hartnett, Penny Dreadful is, according to the network, "a psychological thriller that weaves together ... classic horror origin stories." The series was created by the Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan, and the first episode was directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, best known for The Orphanage and The Impossible. Sam Mendes is an executive producer.

The show doesn't officially premiere until May 11, but you can check out the first episode below. (It is also available on YouTube.)
