Starting this week, we’ll be posting Spoiler Specials as an ongoing feature here on Brow Beat. We’ll continue to post them with the reviews they accompany, as well as in iTunes. You can find past Spoiler Specials here.

Today, John Swansburg, Dan Kois, and I hack our way through the nearly three-hour long, millennium-spanning epic that is Cloud Atlas, the questions and occasions for disagreement multiplying as we go.

Be warned, in case it isn’t painfully obvious from the name of the podcast: Spoilers ahoy!

* While IMDb identifies the acterss above as Xun Zhou, it appears to be another actress, Zhu Zhu, who has a smaller part in the movie.

Dana Stevens is Slate's movie critic.

John Swansburg is Slate's deputy editor.

Dan Kois is Slate's culture editor and a contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine.
