Sleep in a Concrete Sewer Pipe at this Austrian Hotel

If you're traveling through Austria and running low on funds, there's a unique and affordable accommodation option: sleep inside a concrete sewer pipe in a public park.
Dasparkhotel, located just steps from the Danube in the town of Ottensheim, is a collection of five freestanding cylindrical rooms made from repurposed metropolitan drainage pipes. Each seven-foot-wide room contains a double bed, lamp, storage space, bedding, and a power outlet. Restrooms and showers are a 330-foot walk downhill, a public water fountain quenches thirst, and breakfast is available at a cafe on the nearest road. The "swimming pool," weather permitting, is the Danube.
There is no fixed price for reservations—guests book online, receive an access code to punch into the keypad on the door, and pay what they wish when they depart. While it may seem unsustainable, this donation model has proved lucrative enough for Dasparkhotel's proprieters to open a second location at Bernepark in Bottrop, Germany
