Boston Globe journalists Kevin Cullen and Shelley Murphy discuss their new book about James “Whitey” Bulger, the notorious Irish-American gangster who was captured in 2011 after 16 years on the run. Cullen and Murphy have covered, and occasionally run up against, Bulger for decades—Cullen in fact first reported that Bulger was an FBI informant, ratting out his rivals in the Italian Mafia.
