In the July 6 "Jurisprudence," Lisa Lerer incorrectly stated that 19 law firms donated 810,000 hours of pro bono work in New Orleans last year. The correct figure is 8,100 hours.

In the July 3 "Press Box," Jack Shafer misstated the peak size of the Los Angeles Times staff.

In the July 3 "Shopping," Tom Bartlett misstated the price of the Renetto Canopy Chair. It is $49.99, not $39.99.

In the July 2 "Books," Barbara Probst Solomon originally misspelled the names Heinrich Böll and Gregor von Rezzori.

In the July 2 "Chatterbox," Timothy Noah misstated the year in which GM's North America operations lost $10.4 billion. It was 2005, not 1985.

In the July 2 "Jurisprudence," Kenji Yoshino stated incorrectly that Rep. Henry Hyde has been married three times.
