In an Aug. 21 Culturebox, Megan Greenwell misspelled the name of Moe, the bartender in The Simpsons.

In an Aug. 21 Moneybox blog post, Jordan Weissmann misspelled the names of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Merrill Lynch.

In an Aug. 21 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misspelled ExxonMobil.

In an Aug. 21 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misspelled St. Louis Police Officers Association.

In an Aug. 20 Science, Jane C. Hu misstated that chimpanzees are humans‘ closest ancestors. They are our closest relatives.

In an Aug. 20 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misspelled BuzzFeed reporter Jim Dalrymple II's last name.

A caption in the Aug. 19 Behold misidentified where the abandoned library is located. It's in Sunflower, Mississippi, not Missouri. ​ 

In an Aug. 19 Brow Beat, Chris Wade misidentified the venue where Stop Making Sense was filmed. It was filmed at the Pantages Theatre, not the Greek Theatre.

In an Aug. 19 Brow Beat, Eliza Berman misstated that Woody Guthrie gave Mermaid Avenue his blessing. It was his daughter, Nora, who gave her blessing for the project.​

In an Aug. 19 Moneybox, Daniel Gross misstated that a power plant in Dunkirk, New York, will be converted to run on low-sulfur diesel. The plant converting to diesel is in Portland, Pennsylvania.

In an Aug. 19 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misstated that protesters in Ferguson, Missouri, had been arrested for "failure to disperse." They were arrested for "refusal to disperse."

In an Aug. 18 Brow Beat​, Miriam Krule misspelled Newbery Medal. 

In an Aug. 18 History, Mehrsa Baradaran misstated that the bill creating the U.S. Postal Savings System passed in 1911. It passed in 1910.

Due to a production error, a caption in an Aug. 18 The Eye misidentified a topographical map of Becket, Massachusetts, as showing Oacoma, South Dakota.

In an Aug. 18 XX Factor, Amanda Marcotte misidentified Guardian reporter Henry McDonald as Heather McDonald. 

In an Aug. 15 Brow Beat, L.V. Anderson misspelled Siggi Hilmarsson’s last name. 

In an Aug. 5 Future Tense blog post​, Eric Holthaus misstated that the Oregon Gulch fire merged with the Salt Creek fire to form the Beaver Complex. The two fires never merged, but they were being jointly managed.
