The New York Times Magazine published a laudatory profile that called his new short-story collection, Tenth of December, “the best book you’ll read this year.” The book then debuted at No. 3 on the Times best-seller list. And last week, Saunders gave a fascinating and often hilarious talk and reading at Washington, D.C.’s Politics & Prose bookstore that you can hear above or through the Slate Daily Podcast.
