In the July 15 "Movies," Dana Stevens misidentified Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as the ante-antepenultimate movie in the Harry Potter series. It is the antepenultimate movie.

In the July 13 "Jurisprudence," Dahlia Lithwick misspelled Orrin Hatch's name.

In the July 13 "Prescriptions," Timothy Noah erroneously stated that Amgen is headquartered in Massachusetts; it is headquartered in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He also misstated the vote tally of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions on a proposal offered by Sen. Sherrod Brown concerning the regulation of "biologics." The proposal failed 5-17, not 5-7.

In the July 10 "Explainer," Christopher Beam incorrectly stated that English "grew out of" Latin. It was influenced by Latin but is a Germanic language. He also mistakenly described a dieresis as an umlaut.
