In the July 8 "Highbrow," Meghan O'Rourke referred to Jo of Little Women as a 20th-century children's heroine. Little Women was published in 1868, making Jo a 19th-century children's heroine.
In the July 3 "Hey, Wait a Minute," Lauren Sandler reported a 50 percent increase in Activia yogurt profits, rather than sales.
In a July 2 "Trailhead" item, Christopher Beam incorrectly stated that Patti Solis Doyle would be heading up the war room for Michelle Obama. Stephanie Cutter will be in charge.
In the July 1 "War Stories," Fred Kaplan wrote that a 1947 interservice treaty barred the Army from building all fixed-wing aircraft. The treaty only barred the Army from building fixed-wing aircraft with combat roles.
In a June 27 "Other Magazines," Morgan Smith misspelled Michael Kinsley's last name.
If you believe you have found an inaccuracy in a Slate story, please send an e-mail to , and we will investigate. General comments should be posted in "The Fray," our reader discussion forum.
