election scorecard: Where the elections stand today.

Pick-Me-UpWest Virginians have plenty of goodwill for Hillary and still think she will win in November.

It seems West Virginia hasn't gotten the memo. The pundits, superdelegates, and media have all pronounced Barack Obama as the all-but-certain nominee, but the Mountaineers still think Hillary is going to win—not just the nomination, but the presidency.

Thirty-one percent of likely Democratic voters in West Virginia think Clinton will win in November—more than any other candidate (27 percent for Obama and 26 percent for McCain)—according to a new poll from Suffolk University (PDF). Clinton leads by 36 points, overall.

Twenty-three percent of likely Democratic voters say that if their preferred Democratic candidate doesn't win the nomination, they'll vote for McCain.

Election Scorecard uses data supplied by Mark Blumenthal and Charles Franklin at Pollster.com.
