In a June 10 "Assessment," Alexandra Starr omitted the first name and home state of Republican Sen. Conrad Burns of Montana.

In a June 8 "Art" article, Mia Fineman originally and incorrectly said that the house in the original American Gothic painting was in Elton, Iowa; in fact the name of the town is Eldon, Iowa.

In a June 8 "Sports Nut," Josh Levin wrote that Alex Gordon was called "a Gold Glove waiting to happen." That comment was made about third-baseman Ryan Zimmerman. Also, Justin Upton did not say "it was embarrassing" in response to the draft's glitches. He said that "it would've been better" without the glitches.

In a June 7 "Highbrow," a misspelling of the name Colm Tóibín was introduced at the copyediting stage of the editing process.

In a June 3 "Human Nature," William Saletan originally said the percentage of leftover embryos put up for adoption was less than the percentage donated to stem-cell research. Actually, it is less than the percentage donated to all (not just stem-cell) research.
