The July 2 "Swingers" article about Tennessee by David Plotz originally claimed that NASCAR driver Marlin lives in Williamson County. In fact, he lives one county over, in Maury County.

In the July 2 "Press Box" column, "Something Borrowed," Jack Shafer wrote that a nytimes.com story about the Coca-Cola Co. by Kenneth N. Gilpin was intended for publication in the print edition of the New York Times. That is not the case. The Gilpin story was written for the Web only. A different reporter was assigned to the story for the print edition, says Times Assistant Managing Editor Allan M. Siegal.

In a July 2 "Moneybox" about Iranian caviar, Daniel Gross originally wrote that Muslims don't eat sturgeon because it is a scaled fish. In fact, Muslims don't eat sturgeon because it is a scale-less fish.

In the July 1 "Chatterbox" column, Timothy Noah misspelled Tobey Maguire's first name.

In the June 14 "Books" piece, Aleksandar Hemon mistakenly referred to "Operation Uncle Remus" as "Operation Remus."
