In a Feb. 13 addendum to his Feb. 12 "Press Box" column, Jack Shafer mistakenly included a one-sentence comment by Daniel Okrent that he mistook for being part of Miller's letter. The sentence has been removed.

A Feb. 11 "Chatterbox" column by Josh Levin and Timothy Noah cast inaccurate suspicion on an entry in the National Guard documents released by the White House the day before. The entry indicated that George W. Bush earned National Guard points on Nov. 11, 1972. Levin and Noah questioned whether this was true, given that Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, which is always celebrated on that date. National Guard units don't do drills on Veterans Day. But the authors were unaware that for seven years starting in 1971, Veterans Day was moved to the last Monday in October. (It was changed back starting in 1978.) Consequently, National Guard drills would have gone on that day as usual.

The Feb. 7 "Today's Papers" article referred to former presidential candidate Richard Gephardt as a senator. He is a member of the House of Representatives.

In the Feb. 6 "Culturebox" about the NBC reality show The Apprentice, Donald Trump's girlfriend, Melania Knauss, was mistakenly described as Italian. Knauss is in fact Slovenian.
