I've been remiss in not doing more to flog my weekly podcast, the mysteriously-named Weigelcast, in which I spend 12 or 15 minutes solving the mysteries of the universe with a political guest. This week's guest is sometime Slate contributor Sasha Issenberg, one of the absolute best political reporters in the country; his 2012 book The Victory Lab was snapped up by actual strategists who wanted to know what they didn't know. One month ago he published a cover story in the New Republic about how, if possible at all, Democrats could restructure the 2014 electorate to look more like the electorate that gave Barack Obama the White House.
