Cut-and-Paste Theater: The Day One Convention Schedule

CHARLOTTE -- For your ease and mine, behold: The first 24 hours of the Democratic convention. You get to meet Joe Kennedy III, whom I met in Massachusetts. You'll hear from the female heads of NARAL and the SEIU. You'll hear Lincoln Chafee, whom Democrats spent a lot of money defeating in 2006, come around to supporting Obama. Glee's Amber Riley sings the National Anthem; Kal Penn, the on-again off-again White House adviser/modern Chong, speaks while hosting the event's official livestream. San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro is introduced by his twin brother Joaquin, who'll soon be a congressman. And Michelle Obama, no longer trying to correct negative voter images of her alleged radicalism, gives the low-stakes First Lady speech.
