Introducing "The Sporkful"

A guest food podcast for the month of May.

On Mondays in May, the Slate Daily Podcast is featuring our first ever guest podcast, "The Sporkful." It's a food show that creators Dan Pashman and Mark Garrison like to say "isn't for foodies; it's for eaters." Rather than focusing on recipes or restaurants, Pashman and Garrison debate the finer points (or more accurately, the minutiae) of average, everyday eating. Today's episode is a perfect example—listen to the most detailed discussion of burger toppings you've ever heard:

In upcoming episodes this month, Pashman and Garrison will talk to Radiolab's Robert Krulwich about "the science of the sandwich," and they'll explore s'mores with an 8-year-old guest.
