Because of an editing error, the June 29 "Food" mistakenly identified Temple Grandin as a man; she is a woman. In the same article, James McWilliams mistakenly referred to a chairwoman of Sweden's Animal Welfare Council. She is from Denmark's Animal Welfare Council.

In the June 29 "Moneybox," Daniel Gross mistakenly wrote the word unemployment when he meant employment.

In the June 29 "Well-Traveled" entry, Kate Bolick incorrectly stated that Walt Whitman contributed to F.T. Marinetti's literary magazine Poesia.

In the June 9 "Green Lantern," Nina Shen Rastogi said that "pound for pound," steel, cast iron, and copper have roughly the same heat capacity. The proper comparison is "per unit of volume."
