In a June 28 " Summer Movies" piece, Josh Levin originally stated that The Little Mermaid was nominated for best picture. The sentence should have referred to Beauty and the Beast.

In a June 26 "Breakfast Table" entry, Walter Dellinger misidentified the young man holding the "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" banner as Mr. Franklin. His name is Mr. Frederick.

In the June 25 " Other Magazines," Katherine Evans incorrectly stated that a New Republic article on Palestine by Martin Peretz was the cover story.

In the June 18 " Ad Report Card," Seth Stevenson wrote that the animation in the ad was by artist Souther Salazar. The animator was "Pistachios." Salazar was the illustrator.

If you believe you have found an inaccuracy in a Slatestory, please send an e-mail to, and we will investigate. General comments should be posted in "The Fray," our reader discussion forum.
