In the Aug. 9 "Music Box," Elisabeth Vincentelli referred to Rachel Stevens' single "Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex" by the wrong name, calling it "Goodbye My L.A. Ex."

In the Aug. 8 "Explainer," Daniel Engber originally stated that a ceremonial release of doves to commemorate 9/11 took place in New York City. It happened in Jersey City, N.J.

In the Aug. 8 "Fighting Words," Christopher Hitchens misidentified Thomas Cushman as the editor of the Human Rights Review. Cushman is editor of the Journal of Human Rights.

In the Aug. 6 "Well-Traveled," due to an editorial error, a headline stated that Cynthia Barnes spent 10 weeks in Mali. She spent five weeks in the country.

In the Aug. 5 "Press Box" column, Jack Shafer misstated the amount of time that passed between Arthur E. Teele Jr.'s phone conversation with journalist Jim DeFede and Teele's suicide. It was hours, not moments. The article has been change to incorporate the correction.
