In Dec. 31 "Today's Papers," Eric Umansky wrote that George Ryan was the former governor of Michigan. In fact, he's the former governor of Illinois.

In his Dec. 26  review of Monster and Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer, David Edelstein mistated Aileen Wuornos' place of birth. It was Michigan, not Minnesota.

In a Dec. 22 "Obit," Jim Lewis originally implied that Gary Stewart wrote "She's Acting Single, I'm Drinking Doubles." In fact, it was written by Wayne Carson; Stewart had recorded a popular version of it.
