Work For Slate

Slate is hiring an editorial assistant in its Washington, D.C. office. The assistant's primary responsibility will be to provide editorial, research, and administrative help to Slate's political reporters and editors. There will also be opportunities for occasional writing.

Ideal candidates will be organized, diplomatic, hard-working, detail-oriented, and have excellent writing skills. They will also demonstrate good editorial judgment and possess a wide knowledge and interest in political and economic issues. Some editorial experience preferred. This is a 12-month contract position, without medical benefits.
