The Trailer for Planet Earth II Displays the Majesty of Nature, Like When a Giraffe Kicks a Lion

Ah, nature. Sure, it’s beautiful, but as a new trailer for Planet Earth II reminds us, it can also be freaking awesome. The much-lauded BBC nature documentary Planet Earth returns 10 years later for a second run that, from the looks of it, will feature even more of the stunning, frequently slo-mo’d footage that made the original so incredible to watch (especially under a certain condition). In the trailer alone, we see a monkey stealing orange juice, a sloth doing the doggy-paddle (who knew they could swim?!), and a giraffe utterly demolishing a lion in its path—all soundtracked to trailer favoriteHoppípolla” from Sigur Rós and filmed in 4K ultra high definition.

As if that weren’t enough, English naturalist David Attenborough, who narrated the first Planet Earth, will take a break from narrating Adele music videos and Pokémon Go escapades to lend his pipes to the new series, coming soon to BBC One. Americans might have to wait a bit longer, but in the meantime the complete original series is streaming on Netflix.
