Fortunately, you won’t need a time-turner to get what you want: For a week only, Imax theaters will screen all eight Harry Potter movies, from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to the sprawling, two-part finale, in large-format, neck-craning glory. The event will kick off Oct. 13 with a sneak peek at the upcoming Potter prequel/spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, followed by a week’s worth of Harry Potter marathons, so clear your schedule.
Teaming up with Imax is a smart marketing move by Warner Bros ahead of Fantastic Beasts’ Nov. 18 premiere, with the studio relying on audience nostalgia by playing up the similarities between the new movie and the beloved original franchise.
