A video imagining Pokémon Go as narrated by David Attenborough may have gone viral this past week, but not even Britain’s national treasure can compete with the all-time champion of documentary narration, Werner Herzog. Just consider what the filmmaker asked the Verge’s Emily Yoshida in a recent interview, audio of which Yoshida generously uploaded to the internet:

When two persons in search of a pokémon clash at the corner of Sunset and San Vicente, is there violence? Is there murder?

This is plainly what Pokémon Go has been missing all along, so we recut footage of the game (along with scenes from the animated series) with the distinctive narration of the mad German auteur.
