Press tours can be a grueling and painfully repetitive part of being a celebrity, so it’s understandable that some would try to make the process more entertaining by making up games for themselves. Enter the Lonely Island, who have been busy promoting their upcoming mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. While visiting The Tonight Show, Andy Samberg revealed that for the past few weeks, they’ve been inserting ridiculous fake Jimmy Fallon quotes into as many of their interviews as possible.
The quotes are pretty funny in and of themselves, but the best part is definitely seeing each of the bewildered faces of the interviewers, who have no idea how to respond to a faux Fallon statement like “Wavelengths are like Earth—everybody’s on the same one.”
