As the publicity campaign for Ridley Scott’s The Martian continues to drop new trailers and promotional clips ahead of its Oct. 2 release, the movie’s sense of humor has been on full display. We’ve seen viral marketing gimmicks starring Neil deGrasse Tyson, and now this latest clip, in which Donald Glover plays an irreverent nerd who figured out how to get Matt Damon home from Mars.
A highlight is Glover pretending to be a spaceship and buzzing dorkily around an un-amused NASA higher-up (Jeff Daniels). And there’s also Chiwetel Ejiofor, who plays the director of the Mars mission, clicking his pen open against a bewildered Kristen Wiig’s head.
