Everyone’s been lining up to say goodbye to Letterman as he retires from the Late Show—but so far no one has bid him farewell with quite the finality of Martin Short. Short joked that he’s had the song ready for a while now before he crooning, with some typical Martin Short mugging: “Say goodbye to David, the guy we laughed at from our beds. How we’ll miss his top 10 lists now that he is dead.”
