MISSION STATEMENT We, the cineasts of the Blorple Falls chapter of the West Carolina Cinema Enthusiasts League (est. 1974), are dedicated to elevating the standards of motion picture artistry, not only in Blorple Falls, but in the surrounding tri-county area. And to boldly consider the importance of cinema as art. And art as film. And film as cinema. It is our wish that by bringing films to our community which would normally not be screened within the city limits, we may foster a rich dialogue about the uses and purposes of an art which takes place in darkened rooms among the company of strangers. By concentrating our loving gaze upon the silver screen, we hope to focus humanity's attention—and to better understand—those curious impulses which linger inside us, impulses for which we have no ready explanation; impulses for which we have no ready excuse; impulses which we find increasingly difficult to deny.
