On President Clinton's last day in office, Linda Tripp was fired from her job at the Pentagon. On Thursday, Jan. 25, she sued the Defense Department for disclosing that she has applied for another job at a lower salary. In 1999, Slate's Scott Shuger complained that "while we're suffering through a national crisis over alleged favors to [Monica] Lewinsky, the one person who clearly has enjoyed a big payoff—at taxpayer expense—is the arch-dragoness, Linda Tripp." Click here to read the article.
