Slate on TwitterHow to get instant updates from the Democratic National Convention.
By Josh LevinUpdated Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at 5:51 PM ET
After two weeks, dozens of hours spent in front of the tube, and a whopping 600 posts on the SlateOlympics Twitter feed, the Beijing Games are finally over. Slate's grand Twitter experiment hasn't ended, though. We've had such a good time with the Olympics that we've decided to keep things going at a new address.
Starting today, we're retiring our SlateOlympics account and moving over to http://www.twitter.com/Slate. In our first post-Olympics foray, we'll be tweeting about the Democratic National Convention. Join us throughout the week for updates from the convention floor in Denver, as well as superfast takes from Slate writers and editors watching at home. We'll also cover the Republican National Convention from Sept. 1 to Sept. 4, along with more events to be announced in the weeks and months to come.
How can you keep up with the Slate Twitter feed? If you're one of the 1,300 Twitter users who have been following us at SlateOlympics, you don't have to do anything. Just stay tuned, and you'll start getting our updates shortly. We'll also be collecting every tweet on the Slate article page linked to here. We'll re-post the page to our table of contents every morning, so you never have to worry about missing the previous night's chatter. You can also get every update by going to the Slate page at Twitter.com. And if you want to follow us on IM or on your phone, check out the instructions on the Twitter FAQ.
