Tax Frauds


The New York Times reported this week that reforms of the Internal Revenue Service that were designed to reduce the harassment of the average taxpayer have produced an explosion in tax shelters for large corporations. In 1997, Jacob Weisberg rebutted the GOP's various criticisms of the IRS—including allegations that increased audits primarily hurt the poor.
