On Millionaire, a contestant answers increasingly difficult multiple-choice questions. Each question is worth (more or less) twice as much as the question before it. You can quit anytime, but if you miss a question you lose (almost) everything. Answer 15 questions in a row correctly and you win $1 million. The best twist of the show: You can rescue yourself from tough questions with the three "lifelines," each of which you can use once. You can phone a friend for help, poll the audience, or eliminate two of the three wrong answers.
