The Devil of Daytime Television
Posted Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at 3:00 PM ETThere is a serious movement in Ohio to draft Jerry Springer as a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. In 1998, David Plotz described Springer's regression from idealistic public servant to nihilistic freak circus master.
