For the same reasons we have trouble assimilating the Albanian killings of Serbs, revenge by Holocaust survivors against the Nazis and complicit Germans is something no one likes to discuss. Actually, it's something that only Holocaust deniers and anti-Semites like to discuss because, if distorted, it can create a dangerously false picture of moral equivalence between Jews and Germans--just as the recent killings are fodder for opportunistic opponents of the NATO intervention. So, again, the most crucial fact: Such arguments about moral equivalence are not only wrong but meretricious.
