The chattering classes can't stop talking about Talk, Tina Brown's new glossy magazine. But buzz is one thing, and profitability is another. Does Brown stand a chance of seeing black ink? In 1998 David Plotz looked at her mixed record at the helm of The New Yorker, while Franklin Foer assessed her prospects with her business partners at Talk, movie moguls Bob and Harvey Weinstein.
