Why would the government blow up an entire building (full of people) to take out three firefighters and a kid? Couldn't there be a less, er, Carthaginian way of eliminating them--a fire? a car accident? a plane crash?

Let me get this straight: The aliens have been here for thousands of years, and it's taking them this long to gestate? Or don't they get above ground much?

Did the Old White Guys know that Mulder and Scully would stumble onto the bees? And what about those bees ...?

Why do the Old White Guys, who are all-powerful, manage to find so many reasons not to kill Mulder and Scully?

Are Cigarette Smoking Man and his crew protecting the aliens or trying to stop them? Did Mulder unwittingly help the aliens by administering the antidote to Scully? Is that why the aliens took off? Are there lots more aliens? Is Chris Carter an alien?
